5 Reasons of Exercising but Not Losing Weight:

For some, despite the fact that they participate in heavy workouts they do not see the results they are seeking. They may end gaining some extra pounds even after their hard workouts in the gym. There are a host of reasons why some may not get the results they are seeking. Some find that they are exercising but not losing weight and they are amazed at the reasons behind this phenomenon. While this situation does seem to be common it can be corrected.

Now that the important of proper exercise has been discussed it is also important to remember that many things can adversely affect your health. At this initial stage of exercising you should expect to lose a certain amount of weight. If you are not experiencing any weight loss and you are exercising regularly, then you may need to change your regimen. You should be able to find your scale of weight going down or it creates very annoying situation.

The following are a few of the major reasons why individuals who are exercising but not losing weight encounter.

Reason #1:
Exercise: If your lifestyle is lacking the proper amount of exercise this will have negative effects on your weight loss goals. This lack of proper exercise can prevent you from working as efficiently. This has the potential to raise your glucose levels in your body. Without the proper exercise regimen you will burn less calories and this can result in weight gain.

Reason # 2:
Unhealthy Diet: The old saying “you are what you eat” is actually more true than may realize; if you eat unhealthy foods you will generally be less healthy. A regular exercise program may not have any effect if you continue to eat junk food. Studies show that eating junk food will make you gain weight faster. When you avoid veggies, then your body does not get some vital nutrients that are available in plants and most important for metabolism.If you avoid vegetables in your diet then you will not be able to digest your food properly and it can lead to your body misusing its energy sources.

Reason #3:
Low rate of metabolism: There are many reasons why an individual has low metabolism. The main reasons for a low metabolism are aging, stress, lack of exercise, and an unhealthy diet. Many people are under the misconception that crash diets are a form of short cut to losing weight. However, this can be the main factor in determining why a person has a low metabolism. When they starve for long period, and once they start eating, body end up storing large number of calories, this may increase your weight.

Reason #4:
Hormone imbalance: A change in hormones can affect an individual immediately. The aging process will promote normal hormonal changes. Hormonal changes can have negative effects on your weight loss goals.

Reason # 5:
Thyroid imbalance: Your thyroid is the hormone that plays the most important role in the metabolism process, which increases the chances of weight gain. Junk food can increase your chances when it comes to making your thyroid hormone unhealthy.

Always make your health your top priority. When people focus on weight loss schedule they ignore above reasons and then left with the complaints with either the trainer or simply blame the luck. The problem of exercising but not losing weight is common and if you experience this then it is time to investigate the reasons behind it.It is important not to get discouraged and seek professional assistance to identify the reasons behind this problem. Do not force or stress yourself with heavy exercises, increase the amount of workout gradually.It is vital to not expect sudden weight loss; it is important to remember that your patience will pay off.
