A lot of us continue to struggle with this defeating battle against fat. It doesn’t matter how much we try we still don’t lose the extra weight. For some it is genetic. They are fat by hereditary reasons. Some people are naturally slim and no matter what they eat, they never seem to put on weight.

It is better to be lean and thin than to be fat as a lot of health problems are related to weight. What do you do to get rid of these extra calories? Should one stop eating and go on a strict diet? Does this actually help us? Some people can’t stay on a diet and just can’t say no to the desire to eat.

No matter what diet to lose weight they start, they cant keep the weight off, as they get back to their old eating habits as soon as the diet schedule is over. Regular habits are essential to maintaining a healthy body. Dieting should not be just a one off attempt to lose weight. You should do regular exercise in a natural manner to lose fat that is likely to accumulate as a result of the food you eat.

If you have a tendency to put on weight, regulate your diet in such a way that you get adequate variety and all the necessary minerals, proteins and vitamins for building up body tissue. One could also try out a diet using green tea by having about five cups of green tea instead of the normal tea that you have regularly. It is thought that drinking five cups of green tea daily assists with calorie loss of 70 to 80 calories everyday.

A pound of fat is equivalent to some 3500 calories. If you lose 70-80 calories a day, you could shed a pound of fat in about a month and a half. Whatever you do to lose weight it is essential to remember that you have to be regular in your habits. Adopt dieting as a long-term lifestyle, not a short-term solution where you change the way you eat for brief period and then return to your former habits.
