There is no mystery as to what is the quickest way to lose weight. Some people are under the assumption that there is a secret to losing weight. However there are only 2 factors to real weight loss, and they are diet and exercise

The problems arise when there is too much conflicting information about what methods of dieting and exercising should be used. Let's face it, there is no other industry that has so many methods to reach one goal, than the world of weight loss.

It is a question of having the right information and applying that information on a consistant basis. What is the correct information and where can we find it. Deep down many of us know what is going to work and what is not. The quickest way to lose weight is not always the best way to lose weight.

Of course quick weight loss is possible but stopping it coming back is the real problem. You can do the cutting calories thing, and you may well lose some weight in a short time. You may be delighted at the way things are working out. The flipside of the coin is that you will not feel all that happy when your results stop after 4 or 5 weeks. Understand the fact that they will stop.

Quick weight loss through large decreases in calories cannot be sustained by your body. Simply because it is engineered to change over time, and not in one go. Nobody becomes overweight in a couple of weeks so it stands to reason that you are not going to lose weight successfully in a few weeks, regardless what many weight loss products may imply.

Is there a quick way to losing weight? Well the answer to that is YES. How will this occur? Exercise is the key. Too many people focus on diet and not enough on exercise. When you exercise, you burn calories. Extra calories are what have made you fat. As you exercise your body will start to burn those calories. Your body begins to burn calories in a more efficient way. What this means is that large reductions in calories will not be necessary. Your body will need them to supply itself with energy to cope with the exercise that it is doing.

There is also the problem of which exercises you should be engaging in. It is not necessary to waste hours and hours on cardio exercises. Cardio is a conventional method associated with losing weight, but it is not the best method or the only one. You need to do exercises that will force your body to burn lots of calories quickly.

The answer is to add weight training to your workout regime. Now there is no need to groan at this. Weight training places demands on your body that force it to crank up your metabolic rate. This means a more efficient calorie burning machine. On top of that it will help tone your body far better than doing cardio will. You can continue down the same road of hit and miss weight loss methods, or if you really want to know the quickest way to lose weight, then educate yourself abbout weight training methods.
