Folks like quick fixes. Long term programs do require perseverance and patience, but they work the best. Both elements are troublesome. Weight loss is no different. People who want to lose weight are are always looking for the fast weight loss diet. The issue is the pounds return after the diet ends, the yo-yo effect. When integrated into an overall healthy diet, fad diets can be of benefit.
Here’s a three day diet sure to take off the weight. But make sure it’s just one element of an overall healthy eating habit.
On day one breakfast is black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or a glass of water, 1/2 Grapefruit or 8 oz Juice, and one slice of toast with one tablespoon of Peanut Butter. Lunch consists of 1/2 Cup of Tuna on one slice of toast and black coffee or tea (sweetened with Sweet & Low or Equal) or a glass of water. Dinner is 3 oz. of a lean meat, one cup of green beans, one cup of carrots, a cup of vanilla ice cream, 1 medium apple, and as always black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or a glass of water.
Day two breakfast consists of black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or water, One egg cooked any style, 1 piece of toast, and 1 banana. Lunch is one cup of cottage cheese or tuna, 5 saltine crackers, and black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or a glass of water. Dinner includes 2 beef franks or hot dogs, 1/2 cup of carrots,1 banana, 1 cup of broccoli or cabbage, one half cup of vanilla ice cream, and black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or water.
And finally 3 breakfast is black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or a glass of water, 5 regular saltine crackers, one ounce(slice) cheddar cheese, and an apple. Lunch consists of a hard boiled egg, one piece of toast, and black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or water. Dinner consists of one cup of tuna, 1 cup of carrots, one cup of cauliflower, one cup of melon, a half cup of regular vanilla ice cream, and black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or a glass of water.
Lemons, salt and pepper, and mustard can be used as desired. You can also make substitutions such as cottage cheese for tuna, an orange for grapefruit, and frozen yogurt for ice cream. Keep in mind that this fast weight loss diet is meant to be a three day diet, only to be eaten in conjunction with an overall healthy diet. Consider asking the local hospital for their idea of a low calorie diet.
